Screen Vinyl Image, who’s ties with Virginia’s long-standing shoegaze scene (Ceremony, Skywave, Alcian Blue, The Offering) keep in the tradition of dark noisy destruction over well-crafted song writing. A combination of extremely loud guitars and cold electronics form a tidal wave of soundscapes fueling SVI’s themes of hallucinatory dystopia and science fiction motifs.
Screen Vinyl Image have released a string of innovative full-length albums, extended-plays, and singles under fiercely independent record labels Custom Made Music, Fan Death Records, and their own Safranin Sound. In 2011, they’ll be releasing their second full length record, Strange Behavior.
